The Winnipeg Winter Club is currently looking to hire Personal Trainers / Fitness Instructors for a variety of fitness classes. The WWC is looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and professional individual who has both strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
This position includes opportunities for personal training, fitness consultations, orientations, and group instruction. Classes we are looking to hire for currently include Aquafit, Glidefit, Active Living for Older Adults and Circuit classes taking place on a wide variety of days and times.
This role will also include paid hours doing Health & Fitness consultations and orientations of the Fitness Facility.
All applicants must have a valid CPR Level C and Basic First Aid certifications. Experience, MFC Certifications, a University degree and post degree certifications are an asset for this position.

Fitness Instructor
Whyte Ridge Community Centre is seeking expressions of interest from instructors and activity facilitators to enhance the Centre’s current offerings. Prospective programming could be delivered as day, evening, or special event programming. Our target demographics for new programming include senior, adult, and children. Programming would be delivered at the Whyte Ridge Community Centre (170 Fleetwood Rd.) in our multipurpose room (1,120 sq ft with an event capacity of 96 people). Professionals who are passionate about working with older adults and are responsible for delivering a safe, stigma-free and full-filled environment. They also accept that participants will arrive with a varying level of ability and mobility. There are three primary components to this role:
Fitness Staff – In this role you will you monitor the fitness center and spend time engaging with members. Tasks include new member orientations, tours, and various duties around the facility.
Personal Trainer – In this role you will engage in one-on-one training sessions with clients. Trainers are responsible for managing their appointment bookings and designing safe and effective workouts for their clients. Trainers may also engage in partner and small group training sessions.
Fitness Instructor – Fitness classes include a variety of strength and cardio based classes such as TRX, circuit, and bootcamp style classes delivered in a group setting. Further opportunity in group fitness may be explored, depending on the candidates experience and qualifications.
