This presentation will discuss the central role of pelvic posture as it relates to upper and lower body injuries. The skeletal and muscular anatomy will be reviewed and its impact on normal and abnormal function.
1:00 - 2:15 PM = Common Fitness Leader injuries and how to prevent them (2.5 CEC's)
This presentation will look at the most common injuries sustained by fitness leaders. The anatomy, mechanism of injury and preventative strategies will be presented for the most common upper and lower body injuries. Participants will be welcome to share their own experiences.

Dr. Glen Bergeron is Professor, Certified Athletic Therapist and Director of the Athletic Therapy program at the University of Winnipeg. He has a BPE from University of Manitoba in 1973, an MSc from the University of Alberta in 1978 and a PhD from the University of Manitoba in 1992. He certified with the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA) in 1975. He’s worked at many national and international events including five Olympic games; two World University Games, one Pan Am Games and a variety of world championships. Glen has taken on a leadership with many associations provincially, nationally, and internationally. He is the current Past President of the World Federation of Athletic Training and Therapy.
