PostPartum Physical Activity Guideline Update Webinar
Supporting postpartum physical activity is essential for promoting recovery, mental health, and long-term well-being—yet many new parents face barriers and lack clear, tailored guidance. This session will provide an overview of the latest evidence-based recommendations to support physical and mental well-being after childbirth. Participants will explore how the 2025 Canadian Guideline for Physical Activity, Sedentary Behaviour and Sleep throughout the First Year Postpartum addresses common postpartum challenges such as depression, pelvic floor dysfunction, and fatigue, and learn practical strategies to promote safe, individualized return to physical activity. The webinar will also highlight tools and resources for health professionals and fitness practitioners, and examine how the guideline fits within a holistic approach to postpartum care.
