Fitness Instructors

FGWRC is a non-profit organization committed to creating a community where women, gender

diverse people and children are healthy, safe, valued and empowered. We offer free programs and

services to women and children including counselling, workshops, information and referrals and

outreach programs. FGWRC is currently looking for a variety of fitness instructors interested in offering workshops for

the women and gender diverse people of our Centre. The goal of each workshop is to present on the topic area only. Information about your

services and/or business can be provided at the end of the workshop (i.e. putting out business

cards, brochures, etc.) ensuring this is not the focus of the workshop. No selling please.

  • Workshops are typically one – one and a half hours in length which also includes: An

introduction, break, and question and answer period.

  • Scheduling is Flexible. Workshops can take place Monday – Friday anytime between 9-

4. Evening spots are also available.

  • Workshops and events can be scheduled: Virtually over zoom or an alternative

location –1150A Waverley St. or  in the community, outside, etc.

Instructor Fee: $45.

Good Neighbours Active Living Centre - seeking instructors who have completed their Group Fitness/ Resistance Training and Active Older Adult programs through MFC

The programs would be open for the instructor and myself (Program Coordinator) to decide what would be best for our members. I have some popular classes that are able to be taken over but also willing to entertain new fitness programs. Multiple vacancies in our Gymnasium on Tuesdays 10am-4pm Thursdays 10am-4pm and Fridays 9am-12pm

Looking for - Fitness Professional

The Rady Jewish Community Centre (RJCC) is currently seeking a dynamic and certified individual to join its team as a Fitness Professional.

This person will provide excellent customer service, educate members, and inspire people to achieve their fitness goals. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be a strong team player, and motivate members.

There are three primary components to this role:

-Fitness Staff – In this role you will you monitor the fitness center and spend time engaging with members. Tasks include new member orientations, tours, and various duties around the facility.

-Personal Trainer – In this role you will engage in one-on-one training sessions with clients. Trainers are responsible for managing their appointment bookings and designing safe and effective workouts for their clients. Trainers may also engage in partner and small group training sessions.

-Fitness Instructor – Fitness classes include a variety of strength and cardio based classes such as TRX, circuit, and bootcamp style classes delivered in a group setting. Further opportunity in group fitness may be explored, depending on the candidates experience and qualifications.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Professional, friendly, and organized
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in designing appropriate exercise programs for a variety of populations including athletes, youth, those living with chronic illness and general population
  • Ability to prescribe corrective exercises to improve posture and movement

Rural Municipality of St. Clements – Looking for Instructors

Zumba:

East Selkirk is in search of a Zumba instructor who is able to lead a 4-week evening class for beginners! Dates/times/price are flexible. 

Kids Dance Class:

East Selkirk is in search of a dance instructor who has the capacity to lead a kids dance class. The type of dance is not decided. This course will be offered under the pretense that there is no recital, we are just wanting to encourage our kids to move and have fun.  Dates/times/prices are flexible. 

Self Defense: 

East Selkirk is looking for someone to teach a Self Defense class, both for teens and adults. Dates/times/prices are flexible.

RM of Ritchot Recreation Department is looking for fitness and active living instructors to lead classes and courses.
The RM of Ritchot includes the communities of Ste Agathe, St Adolphe, Grande Pointe, Ile des Chenes and Howden. We are located ten mins from the south end of Winnipeg down Hwy 59 or 75.
The requests from our communities on type of program is varied and so we’re looking for a variety of programs to offer. We are open to your ideas.
We can work around your current availability and can offer courses during the day, evening, or weekend.
We can coordinate and administer the class/course or help get you set up in the communities to run your own classes.
