The Rady Jewish Community Centre (RJCC) is currently seeking a dynamic and certified individual to join its team as a Fitness Professional.

There are three primary components to this role:
Fitness Staff – In this role you will you monitor the fitness center and spend time engaging with members. Tasks include new member orientations, tours, and various duties around the facility.
Personal Trainer – In this role you will engage in one-on-one training sessions with clients. Trainers are responsible for managing their appointment bookings and designing safe and effective workouts for their clients. Trainers may also engage in partner and small group training sessions.
Fitness Instructor – Fitness classes include a variety of strength and cardio based classes such as TRX, circuit, and bootcamp style classes delivered in a group setting. Further opportunity in group fitness may be explored, depending on the candidates experience and qualifications.

The Assistant Fitness Training Assessment Coordinator provides direct service to students and staff of the University of Manitoba and community members by assisting in the design, delivery, and evaluation of various testing, training, and fitness services in the following areas: Personal and Group Training and Testing, Occupational Testing, Programming and Training, Employee Wellness & Health Promotion, Fitness Attending and Facility Monitoring of the Active Living Centre.
MINIMUM FORMAL EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED:
• Completed BPE or BKIN or related degree
• Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) Certification through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology required but Certified Exercise Physiologist is preferred. Equivalent training and experience may be considered.
• Current CPR, First Aid and AED
EXPERIENCE:
• Must have experience working with clients as a personal trainer for a minimum of 1 year.
• Must have experience with fitness testing and follow up program design.
• Must have experience working with apparently healthy asymptomatic populations.
